“ Mikado sushi is amazing, so fresh, so tasty. I truly enjoy going to the Lexington avenue location, the cozy vibes make it a fantastic experience. ”
“ Really great ambiance, good service, and food was good. They also have great lunch deals! ”
“ The food, prices, and atmosphere were great! Highly suggest this manhattan spot on a day out with friends. ”
“ Awesome awesome awesome. Beautiful place, great Bento boxes, wonderful food. Our favorite sushi restaurant. Great service! ”
“ Living in NYC as a sushi lover means constantly searching for new places that can fulfill your regular takeout needs. Sadly, for the most part, this city now consists of super high end omakase or super low end takeout and not much in between. The days of reliable, quality sushi spots where you can get quality rolls with fresh fish are mostly long gone. Which is why I get so excited when I find spots like Mikado, Poke and Goal (all UES) which offer good fish / rolls without having to commit to crazy omakase experiences. Mikado follows a somewhat similar experience as Sugarfish, offering set roll packages that come in neatly packaged boxes. We got the basics - spicy tuna, California, shrimp tempura etc and all were fresh and quite good. Had some apps too (don't sleep on the pickled cucumber salad, it's fire!) which were all good. Prices fair as well. Def will mix into the rotation ! ”
“ Great place to stop by for some sushi. I've ordered to go and eaten in the restaurant and both experiences were great. The restaurant is small and there's not too many seats. Fish is fresh. It's only 4 pieces per roll but the rolls are chunky. My favorite was the salmon avocado. Sushi tacos were also great. ”
“ Delivery so can't speak to service or ambiance. But the food was quite good. Feels like it's rare these days to get a good amount of fish in one's sushi as restaurants look for ways to cut cost but not Mikado. The volume of fish was great and it wasn't over-burdened with rice. The fish was all quite good quality. Nothing perfectly melt-in-your-mouth, but all good quality and consistent across different types of fish too. I would definitely order Mikado again and would try in person too! ”
“ Excellent sushi, lunch deals, service, and ambiance. Such a serene and peaceful space with awesome lunch specials. I had a $17 three roll special (yellowtail jalapeño, tuna avocado, and scallop yuzu for an extra $2) with miso soup. Very fresh and well rolled. Also the yuzu margarita is excellent: tart, balanced, with a fun black sesame salt rim. I wish I lived around the corner. I'd come all the time. ”
